Celian is a big chasing type who we purchased from Brightwells Cheltenham April 2006 sales as an unbroken store. We broke him through the summer, educated, schooled and hunted him before running in a bumper at Haydock in April 2007 where he ran a decent race to finish 7th of 17. Bearing in mind he is a real chasing type who was incredibly weak at the time of running.
He took forever to get right for his second season but won his bumper first time out on very soft ground at Plumpton. He has had a handful of hurdle runs his best finishing 3rd behind the Nicky Henderson trained Zemsky who from 6 point to point starts and 3 starts under rules has never been out of the winners enclosure. We are looking forward to Celian's chasing debut this season. |
