Chalice Welcome arrived at St Gatien in January 2008 as a maiden who had been very tried and tested, both on the flat and over hurdles with out success. It took me a while to find the key to him but he has now won 8 races on the flat rising from a handicap mark of 46 to 84. Frustratingly he hasnt yet won over hurdles but - he will !!!
He will have a 6 week break in June / July and then come back to win a Handicap over hurdles before the ground turns too wintry for him - he can then run on the all weather. |
