| The Red Lairds owners were rewarded at Plumpton when on only his second start he won a competitive bumper at odds of 33-1. He then proved it to be no fluke when running a good third under his penalty over course and distance a month later. During the 2009/10 season he ran good races to be 4th twice. Rather than win with him at the back end of the season I felt it made much more sense to leave him a novice for the forthcoming season when now as a mature horse he can reap the benefits of his favourable handicap mark.
