Noble Bily arrived here at the end of January having just won a 2 1/2 mile chase at Plumpton. He has previously also won 3 races for Martin Pipe. He has handicap mark of 94 over fences compared with 109 over hurdles and I hope stepping him up in trip might just bring some improvement.
After a couple tries where he finished 2nd and 3rd we stepped in him right up in trip and class where he won The £20,000 Kent National @ Folkestone over 3m7f very easily. He then went to Wincanton and finshed 2nd. He is still un exposed over the marathon trips and although at his best on softer ground he does act on firm. I am keen to try him in a cross country race at Cheltenham in the coming season. |
