| Cerium is the most perfect stamp of a steeplchaser. He is a very exciting horse for us to get our hands on. I bought him on spec from Doncasters May sale after which he was snapped up very quickly by his now owner. He has ran very well in the last two Grand Nationals finishing a staying on fifth 2 years ago. He is down to a mark of 125 now from 146 on leaving Paul Nicholls which I would like to think will allow him to be competetive in ordinary staying chasers. Cross Country races and after Christmas Veterans races are other options for him and who knows if we could just go and win a race he could soon be back into the weights for the 2011 National - that would be exciting! |
